We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the 23rd International Heat Pipe Conference (IHPC) and the 17th International Heat Pipe Symposium (IHPS), held from May 24 to 28, 2026, in the historic city of Gdańsk, Poland.
The event brought together researchers, engineers, students, and industry professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge, present recent research, and discuss the latest developments and innovations in heat pipe technologies and two-phase thermal management.
Following the successful conclusion of the conference, we are pleased to share some of its main highlights and outcomes.
📊 Conference Statistics
The 2026 edition of the Joint IHPC & IHPS brought together 130 registered participants representing 18 countries. The scientific programme featured 96 full papers submitted, 86 oral presentations, and 18 poster presentations.
The conference was supported by an International Scientific Committee of 13 members, a Local Organizing Committee of 13 members, and a dedicated supporting team of 6 PhD students and 4 students.
🎤 Plenary Keynote Lectures
The scientific programme featured three Plenary Keynote Lectures delivered by leading experts in the field:

“Dissipation in Modelling of Complex Two-Phase Flows”
Dr. Bruce Drolen
“Satellite Thermal Management Lessons Learned: CCHPs, LHPs, and OHPs”
Prof. Vincent Ayel
“Flat Plate Pulsating Heat Pipes: Operating Principles and Open Issues, from Ground to Microgravity Conditions”
In addition to the keynote lectures, the programme included technical discussions, a Poster Session, and several networking and social activities.
🏆 Awards and Recognition
The conference also celebrated outstanding contributions to the heat pipe community through the presentation of prestigious awards, including the George Grover Medal, the Donald M. Ernst Award, and the Best Poster Awards.
